![]() ![]() It would be great if any intellectuals can solve my problem. Honestly, I don't know if it's an antivirus software problem since when I open task manager, it's barely putting a strain on my CPU and I had the same problem even when I turned off the "Real-Time Protection" setting on Windows Defender In the past when I installed it and worked around the problem, it was working fine When I installed Cakewalk for the first time, I was having the exact issue but somehow managed to work around it yet I don't remember how Disable power management for USB root hubs in the Device Manager. This will set the CPU and other components of the computer to operate at the maximum. Find this setting in the Control Panel > System and Security > Power Options. I have installed Cakewalk on this computer before resetting. Set Windows Power Options to High Performance. Note: when Cakewalk is running, the CPU nor RAM usage do not clock up to something unusable (both don't exceed more than 30-40%) When opening a new project, Cakewalk runs really slow and the mouse cursor is constantly in a loading sign and it takes few seconds to respond to my mouse movements. The initial screen when opening Cakewalk (the blank page with pop up screen that you get when starting Cakewalk) runs fine and smooth Here are the specific behaviors I'm experiencing: I reinstalled Cakewalk on my laptop and it is running really slow when I open a brand new project. ![]()
